The Montrose area is a fantastic place to work, play and live! I should know...I was born and raised on a family farm west of Delta, just 20 miles north of Montrose. As a child I thought the Uncompahgre Valley and the surrounding mountains were the only place on earth. My parents took our large family on many fishing, hunting and exploratory trips. Now as an adult, with every possible chance I am exploring the Western Slope of Colorado with my family. Who needs a "vacation" when you live here? We live in a paradise of mild weather and great sunshine, national and state parks, and 1,000's of acres of public lands here, which provide us with many uses. I enjoy helping people who come to live here. I know these new community members are going to be very happy here if they take advantage of all our area has to offer. 

I am the youngest child of a family of 10 children. I come from the "salt of the earth" folks. My grandparents were immigrants; Mother's parents were "Germans from Russia" who have a history of their own. My Father's Mother was French and his Father was German. They were pioneers who came on covered wagons and helped shape this area. Their names are well known and recognized by locals.
